Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Day is winding down, but it still gives me time to celebrate one of the most dynamic leaders in History.
I often wonder if Dr. King was still alive today how different would the Black Community be… Would he be happy to see us in the state we’re in or would he shake his head in shame?
Would he be disappointed or would he congratulate us on a job well done?
I personally think that he would be happy on the progress we’ve made as a People. We’ve participated in huge numbers in the voting in of the nation’s first Black president (and it also one of the first times that a nation has elected a minority as a leader of a state :-)). We are actively involved in politics… oh and we dominate the entertainment and arts world.
As MLK day is winning down, what are your thoughts on the state of the Black Community?
